Licensed Arkansas Journeyman or Master Electrician

Residential Service & Installation

Mister Sparky Electric | Central Arkansas
Full-Time | $28-$38/hour base plus performance pay
$70,000-$120,000+ total earning potential

Good electricians should not have to fight a broken system just to do good work.

You earned your license. You should be able to spend your day diagnosing problems, completing quality electrical work, and taking care of homeowners, not chasing calls, tracking down parts, or trying to get answers from the office.

Mister Sparky Electric is hiring an Arkansas-licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician for residential service and installation work throughout Central Arkansas.

We are looking for more than someone who can complete a task. We want a skilled professional who can identify the full scope of an electrical issue, explain it clearly, provide the right solutions, and follow the work through from diagnosis to completion.

Compensation

  • $28-$38 per hour base pay

  • Base rate determined by license, residential experience, diagnostic ability, workmanship, communication skills, and demonstrated capability

  • Additional performance-based earning opportunities

  • $70,000-$120,000+ total annual earning potential

This is not a commission-only position. You will have a strong hourly base, with additional earning potential for running complete, professional service calls.

Our highest earners are not high-pressure salespeople. They are thorough diagnosticians, clear communicators, trusted advisors, and clean executors. They uncover the real problem, help homeowners understand their options, and complete the work correctly.

Actual earnings vary based on hours worked, individual performance, and role responsibilities. We will explain the compensation structure and what is measured during the interview process.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and install residential electrical systems

  • Complete work in accordance with the NEC, Arkansas code, and company safety standards

  • Find the cause of an electrical problem, not merely address the most obvious symptom

  • Evaluate electrical systems for safety, reliability, and the homeowner’s stated needs

  • Explain findings and available solutions in clear, homeowner-friendly language

  • Provide complete options and answer customer questions professionally

  • Perform clean, code-compliant service and installation work

  • Take responsibility for the call from arrival through final documentation

  • Record accurate notes, photos, estimates, and job summaries in ServiceTitan

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized company vehicle and jobsite

  • Represent Mister Sparky with professionalism, punctuality, and integrity

You do not need to be a stereotypical salesperson. You do need to be comfortable talking with homeowners, explaining the value of the right solution, and helping customers make informed decisions.

The Support Behind You

At Mister Sparky, you are backed by a team and a system built to help you succeed:

  • Consistent, year-round residential work

  • Organized scheduling and dispatch

  • Dedicated CSR, dispatch, office, and warehouse support

  • A stocked warehouse and parts support designed to reduce unnecessary supply-house trips

  • A clear service-call process that supports thorough diagnostics and follow-through

  • Field support when a job becomes complex

  • Ongoing training in diagnostics, technical skills, customer communication, and trust-building

  • Company vehicle and gas card

  • Company-provided tablet and ServiceTitan access

  • Clear expectations and measurable opportunities for growth

We provide structure and support while respecting the professional judgment that comes with your experience and license.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly base pay

  • Additional performance-based compensation

  • Company vehicle and gas card

  • Tablet and ServiceTitan software

  • Health benefits

  • Paid time off

  • Paid holidays

  • Ongoing training and professional development

  • Long-term advancement opportunities

  • Consistent residential call volume

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Arkansas Journeyman or Master Electrician License required

  • Three or more years of residential electrical experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of the NEC and residential electrical applications

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability

  • Ability to complete safe, clean, code-compliant work

  • Professional communication skills with homeowners and coworkers

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team

  • Reliable attendance and professional follow-through

  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements

  • Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with residential electrical work

  • Willingness to participate in coaching, training, and continuous improvement

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and driving-record review.

This Role Is a Strong Fit If You

  • Take genuine pride in your workmanship

  • Want steady residential work without having to chase your own calls

  • Diagnose thoroughly instead of applying temporary fixes

  • Communicate confidently and respectfully with homeowners

  • Value organized scheduling, clear expectations, and dependable support

  • Want to continue improving both technically and professionally

  • Want your earning potential to grow with your capabilities

  • Are looking for a long-term home, not just your next short-term job

This Role Will Not Be the Right Fit If You

  • Prefer to be handed one task without evaluating the full electrical concern

  • Avoid conversations with homeowners

  • Resist documentation, service standards, or accountability

  • Are unwilling to learn a consistent residential service process

  • Are not interested in continued growth
