JOB SUMMARY

This position performs and coordinates the installation and service of electrical products and services in a residential and light commercial setting.

JOB DUTIES

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
Place conduit inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete the circuits between boxes.
Construct/fabricate parts; fasten boxes to wall to house electrical switches or outlets.
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
Wear floor savers while working in client homes.
Inspection of area for cleanliness after job completion.
Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
Maintain a professional image at all times by: Wearing only company approved and provided MSE apparel and maintaining a neat and clean appearance
Following all safety policies and procedures.
Abiding by ALL MSE standards of performance and code of ethics.
Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates.
Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
Respecting the customer’s property at all times.
Installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial electrical equipment and services
Works with and understands blueprints, electrical schematics and job specifications as it applies to your craft
Identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects
Use the Straight Forward Pricing Guide, accurately present repair or installation options, and complete safety inspections

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as an electrician in a residential service and maintenance operation.
Basic math and reading comprehension.
Have the ability to learn and maximize technology to includes apps, tablets, receive digital payments, send digital estimates
Knowledge of electrical field concepts, practices, best practices, and procedures including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes and Lighting Systems.
Solid communication and customer service skills.
Must have appropriate trade tools.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

Must be able to work extended hours, nights, or weekends.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs.
Able to carry 25 lbs.
Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal
depth perception.
Work assignments may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation to a known

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
