- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
- Place conduit inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete the circuits between boxes.
- Construct/fabricate parts; fasten boxes to wall to house electrical switches or outlets.
- Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
- Wear floor savers while working in client homes.
- Inspection of area for cleanliness after job completion.
- Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
- Maintain a professional image at all times by: Wearing only company approved and provided MSE apparel and maintaining a neat and clean appearance
- Following all safety policies and procedures.
- Abiding by ALL MSE standards of performance and code of ethics.
- Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates.
- Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
- Respecting the customer’s property at all times.
- Installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial electrical equipment and services
- Works with and understands blueprints, electrical schematics and job specifications as it applies to your craft
- Identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing repair projects
- Use the Straight Forward Pricing Guide, accurately present repair or installation options, and complete safety inspections
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience as an electrician in a residential service and maintenance operation.
- Basic math and reading comprehension.
- Have the ability to learn and maximize technology to includes apps, tablets, receive digital payments, send digital estimates
- Knowledge of electrical field concepts, practices, best practices, and procedures including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes and Lighting Systems.
- Solid communication and customer service skills.
- Must have appropriate trade tools.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to work extended hours, nights, or weekends.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs.
- Able to carry 25 lbs.
- Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal
- depth perception.
