Mister Sparky is looking for an Apprentice Electrician with previous electrical experience who is ready to continue developing their skills and grow into a professional residential electrician.

This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone who already has hands-on experience in the electrical field, understands basic electrical systems and installation practices, and is ready to learn from experienced electricians while taking on increasing responsibility.

You'll work alongside experienced electricians on residential service calls and installations while continuing to develop your troubleshooting, installation, code knowledge, and customer-service skills.

Our goal isn't simply to give you another apprentice job. We want to help you develop into an electrician who is eventually capable of running residential service calls and installations independently.

What You'll Do

As an Apprentice Electrician, you'll:

Work alongside experienced electricians on residential service and installation jobs
Assist with electrical repairs, upgrades, and installations
Install wiring, devices, breakers, lighting, and other residential electrical equipment under appropriate supervision
Assist with panel changes, service upgrades, and larger residential projects
Continue developing residential troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Identify electrical materials and equipment needed to complete jobs
Learn to recognize electrical safety concerns in customers' homes
Read and understand basic electrical diagrams and manufacturer instructions
Maintain clean and organized tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas
Protect customers' homes and maintain a clean, professional jobsite
Continue developing your knowledge of the NEC, local codes, and Mister Sparky safety standards
Develop the communication and customer-service skills necessary to eventually run service calls independently
Participate in ongoing training and development

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Has 1–3 years of hands-on electrical experience
Has experience working with residential electrical systems
Understands basic electrical installation practices and electrical safety
Is comfortable using common electrical hand and power tools
Can identify common electrical materials and components
Is mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot basic electrical issues
Is dependable and shows up ready to work
Wants to continue learning and advancing in the electrical trade
Can follow instructions, accept coaching, and work as part of a team
Takes pride in clean, professional workmanship
Is professional and respectful when working in customers' homes
Has a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
Can successfully complete required background and drug screening
Is authorized to work in the United States

Who Will Do Well Here

You're already working in the electrical trade, but you're not done learning.

You understand the basics, but you want more exposure to troubleshooting, residential service, code, and the skills necessary to eventually run your own calls.
